Library Curbside Service Starts Tuesday, May 26.
On Tuesday, the Library begins the next step in reopening by reinstating “Curbside Service.” Patrons will need to call ahead of time to reserve materials and to make an appointment to pick them up. Please do not come to the library without an appointment.
How to get started
Go to our website at www.cimarroncitylibrary.org and click on the catalog link under “Important Links.”
On the top right of the catalog page it asks you to login. Login with your library card number and password (last name, all lowercase). If you do not know or remember your login information, please contact the circulation desk at the library by calling 620.855.3808 or email email@example.com and a staff person will make sure your information is correct.
If you have fines that prevent you from placing a hold on an item, please contact the Library and we will help resolve this issue.
Once you login and/or all the issues have been resolved. Begin searching for items you would like to check out. Once you have found a title that is available, click on “Place a hold” button. There is a limit of 5 items per patron/1 pick up a week.
If you do not have access to the internet at home, you are welcome to call the library at 620.855.3808 and a librarian will guide you through the process and get you the materials you need if they are available. Library staff is also very comfortable picking materials out for you as well. We have put together several subject bags for our younger patrons, book and a movie bag for all ages and educational bags as well. All will be listed on our website.
Interlibrary Loan service is not available at this time.
Setting your appointment
Once you have placed holds, a librarian will pull those materials and get them ready to pick up at the next available pick up time. Pick up times will be scheduled in advance.
When you come to the library to pick up your items, park at the north entrance on Canal Street and call the Library. Stay in your vehicle. A staff person will set your items on the table. Your items will be in a plastic bag. We recommend washing your hands and disposing of the bag when you get home. If you need a staff member to bring the items to your vehicle, please let us know.
Please return all items in a plastic bag and place on the appropriate table at the north entrance. The Book Drop is still not open at this time. You will not be able to check out material until ALL library material is returned.
Please do not show up to the library without first making an appointment, as there is no access to the inside of the library at this time. Library curbside hours will be from 10-4 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Curbside will be offered 1-7PM on Thursday.
If you have any questions, please let us know. We are excited about this next phase, but there are a lot of moving parts. This is subject to change – please follow us on facebook and visit our website at www.cimarroncitylibrary.org.
