HOW TO GET A LIBRARY
CCL will need a photo ID, and an item of mail verifying the address the patron supplied on the application. There is a 24 hour waiting period before the card can be picked up. All new card are on a 2 item limit for the first two months. Patron cards should be presented at the time of each checkout. There is a $1 replacement charge for cards. The patron is responsible for ALL items checked out on their library card. CARDS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE!
Any child going into the 4th grade is eligible for a Cimarron Library card and MUST have a parent or legal guardian’s signature. A parent or legal guardian’s identification MUST be used for minors. Parents and Guardians are responsible for monitoring all materials their child borrows.
Replacement Card
If a CCL has been lost or damaged, there will be a $1.00 charge to replace the card.
Expiration of Library Cards
All library cards are valid for three (3) years from the date of issue. Renewals follow the same procedure as that for a new card. A card may be invalidated at any time if the patron does not return materials when due, does not pay outstanding finds, or habitually abuses the library policies.
